Albena Ignatova: Cyber Insurance Is Protection for Everyone from Businesses to Small Communities
“Cyber insurance is no longer a privilege—it’s a necessity. It must be accessible not only to large corporations, but also to small businesses, schools, and citizens in smaller communities.” This was stated by Albena Ignatova, Head of Sales and Regional Structures at LEV INS AD, in an interview for Actualno.com.
According to her, the digital environment carries increasing risks, and cyber threats are evolving rapidly. LEV INS already offers specialized products for the protection of websites, online platforms, and personal data, tailored to various target groups—from small enterprises and schools to individual users. Albena Ignatova emphasized the need for education and prevention, noting that the company works actively with municipalities and regional structures to raise awareness and provide practical solutions for cyber risk protection.
“In smaller municipalities, the topic of cyber risks is still not well understood. People often don’t realize that even a seemingly harmless action—such as opening an email from an unknown sender or clicking on a suspicious link—can make them victims of phishing scams and social engineering. These are not rare incidents—they are part of everyday life.”
Ignatova stressed that developing critical thinking skills is essential, and this happens through targeted training. The good news, she said, is that the landscape is beginning to shift—with the rise of digital nomadism and stable internet access, more young people are settling in smaller towns and bringing with them a culture of digital security. “A cyberattack is like a thief entering your home—you don’t see it, you don’t hear it, but the damage is real. Just as we insure our physical homes, we must also protect our digital space.”
LEV INS is investing heavily in financial and digital literacy training. Through its extensive network of offices and agencies across the country, the company informs clients that just like their cars, their internet access must also be protected. The company works with trained professionals who undergo continuous education to provide local-level consultation and support.
