The insurance is suitable for farmers, individuals, legal entities, and sole traders operating within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. It is issued on the basis of a completed application form that includes a description of the crops, cultivated areas, and all other information required to calculate the insurance premium.

It is important to notify the insurer no later than 7 days after the occurrence of an insured event. Your notification must contain the insurance policy number, the date and type of event, as well as a description of the damaged areas.
The insurance is voluntary and guarantees financial support in the event of damage to crops caused by adverse weather conditions or wild animals.
It is important to comply with the deadlines for taking out insurance:
- For frost and drought risk for cereals and rapeseed, the deadline is December 10;
- For all field crops, the deadline is June 20;
- For field-grown vegetables and tobacco, the deadline is July 15.
